This is a great idea from google, basically you are helping google to advertise, by advertising for google on your site and guess what's so great about it, you can make money from virtually doing nothing. Just set up a blog/website that generates a reasonably large ammount of traffic, on a certain subject, for example magic tricks; and then apply to google adsense and see if they want to advertise on your website.

Yahoo are also doing something VERY similar to Google's AdSense although at the minute it is only US businesses which can use it but they are planning to roll-out to other countries after their US beta testing.

I recently found http://www.1shoppingcart.com/app/?Clk=1482141 Google AdSense and can't say enough great things about it. My adsense and adwords accounts make me very proud today and again I owe it all to Google AdSense
